Sarah comes to us with over 25 years of experience in the animal care industry. Working with animals is her passion. Sarah is originally from South Dakota and graduated from the University of South Dakota with a B.S. in biology. 

After graduating, Sarah moved to Kansas City as a zookeeper at the Kansas City Zoo. She then moved to Omaha, Nebraska to work at the Henry Doorly Zoo as a zookeeper.

In 2006, Sarah began her career with PetSmart working in the PetsHotel. She was a fast mover in the company, and quickly progressed to PetsHotel Manager within two years. 

In 2019, Sarah advanced her career and moved to Phoenix to work at the PetSmart Home Office as Project Manager of PetsHotel Operations & Strategy to lead PetsHotel operations across the company. In 2021 Sarah transitioned to the role of Services Communications Manager where she created and led all communications from the Home Office to the Services teams in the field.

Sarah’s heart and passion lie with animals and she is committed to providing excellent service to our pets and pet parents. She is dedicated to fostering strong effective team relationships and leads our team with positive influence and support.

Sarah’s family includes her husband, two daughters, three dogs – Boji a Chihuahua/Yorkie mix, and Stogie and Lilo, sibling mini dachshunds. Sarah and her family enjoy outdoor activities including hiking, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding.
