Dr. Sophie Galvin graduated from Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine and chose to stay in the sunny heat of Arizona. Originally born in England, Dr. Galvin moved to America at 9-years-old and grew up in Texas. With a passion for medicine and surgery, she always knew she wanted to be a doctor, and participated in medical programs and externships within the medical field starting in high school. As a first-generation college student, Dr. Galvin earned her BA in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, while also pursuing a second BA degree in English Creative Writing.
With a love for all patients, Dr. Galvin especially admires the human-animal bond and nursing sick animals back to health. She also has a special interest in soft-tissue surgery, exotic animals, preventative medicine, and orthopedics.
When she’s not working, Dr. Galvin enjoys traveling with her family (especially to the beach), spending time at Disneyland, reading and writing fiction novels, attending music concerts, and enjoying good food.
Dr. Galvin’s pet-family includes a playful old Coton de Tulear named Max, and a younger mischievous Coton de Tulear named Rocket. Dr. Galvin is excited to meet you and provide the best care for your beloved dogs and cats!
